Winter Meeting 2018 at Walton Heath
We were pleased to welcome 30 OCGS members and guests to attend our second meeting in the last few weeks.
After breakfast and a warm welcome from Walton Heath Club Professional, Simon Peaford, we head out to play the famous Old Course (ranked 10th in the UK and 85th in the world) that recently held the British Masters, hosted by Justin Rose.
We were playing for the Old Cats GS trophy, that is a team event – plus an individual Stableford prize, Nearest the Pin on the 7th and Longest Drive on the 14th.
Prizes
Old Cats GS Trophy – Patrick May and Sean Tanner (61 points combined)
Individual Stableford – Christian Wimshurst (38 points)
Nearest the Pin – Mark Fuller
Longest Drive – James Benning
A fine day was had by all and we look forward to returning next year.
The Old Caterhamians’ Golfing Society is gathering pace nicely since our inception in 2017.
